Finished!
Over 24h of pain, tears and chocolate. Loads of chocolate.

Maybe somebody recognizes the marine in the picture - I just switched the cape's colors.

There is actually a story to this picture, but maybe you want to make up your own first. Let me know what you think about it. :3

:icondanboldy: felt inspired by the early sketch and wrote this amazing short story here:

Pieces of shattered marble exploded and ricocheted across the floor like bullets as a bolter round bit deep into the column, behind which, Sister Catherine De Santo took cover, raising her arm instinctively across her to shield her eyes from the ballistic fragments, wincing slightly as a piece caught her chin, slicing a ragged gouge that immediately started bleeding.

“Cease fire! This is a Holy shrine to the God Emperor! Put down your weapon!” She shouted in the lull as the firing abated. Her ears were ringing and she could barely hear her own voice. “In the name of the Holy God Emperor of Mankind-“ she was cut short by a rumbling voice.
“YOU DARE SPEAK OF HIM on the throne??” the voice echoed sonorously through the shrine as her assailant spoke “You, who commit the foulest of heresies?” As the speaker finished speaking, Sister Catherine distinctly heard the sound of a magazine being released. This was her chance; she wheeled around the column, bolt pistol braced firmly in both outstretched arms, but she barely had time to duck as the noticed the boltgun was still leveled, aiming straight for her; One left in the breech – sneaky! She immediately dropped her weight over to one side as the weapon fired – it’s muzzle flash filling her vision as the rocket-propelled warhead skimmed inches away from her unprotected head.
She approximated her attacker to be roughly 50 metres away, but before she even had chance to recover from that near miss, an enormous figure leaped toward her – Astartes! The marine knocked the bolt pistol from her firm grip like a pathetic toy, and grabbed her by the throat. A massive gauntlet of ceramite squeezed around her oesophagus, lifting her bodily off the ground to bring her level with the Astartes. She knew the marine could break her neck like a straw.

The marine looked puzzled as he regarded her, ignoring her watering eyes and pathetic wriggling. His vice-like grip lessened a fraction as he asked her a question “Eccesiarchy?” he enquired tersely.
Sister Catherine coughed, her lungs burning as she replied in a squeak “Yes. I am Sister Catherine de Santo of the Order of the Chalice”
The marine dropped her to the floor, from a height of about four feet. Her legs almost gave way as she landed unsteadily, gasping for breath and coughing. “You should not be here.” He stated, matter-of-factly. “Your convent was reported lost after the attack. Explain your presence.” There was still a note of threat in the Astarte’s voice, and he remained hold of his boltgun – magazine now reloaded.
Sister Catherine De Santo drew herself back up to her full height, and looked straight back at the marine. “They were; wiped out. I am the only survivor.” She knelt down to retrieve her bolt pistol, keeping her eyes locked with the marine as she noticed his fingers tighten around the trigger. “My Lord. I am a humble and loyal servant of the Emperor of mankind, and with your help I will avenge the deaths of my sisters to these damned heretics!”
